This beautiful club is one of the few distinguished golf and country clubs on the San Francisco Peninsula for which no member sponsorship is required. From the spacious, elegant entrance and the members' dining room above, you have a marvelous view overlooking Silicon Valley and the Bay. The large and stylish recently remodeled ballroom on the opposite side has large, floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that make up half the wall and provide an unobstructed view of the covered patio, the manicured lawns of the golf course with its waterfall, islands of tall pine and oak trees, and the foothills as backdrop. In short, it reflects exactly the new indoor-outdoor feeling, now so much in fashion. The ballroom hosts a large bar and several five-foot high movable planters. These planters are just such a terrific idea because they can either create spaces such as separating the the ballroom from the dance floor or as a backdrop for the cake. The patio is large enough for ceremonies with additional room for a bar for the toast.
Smaller events can be held in the cherry wood-paneled members' dining room. The bridal changing room awaits you with refreshments; it can be used for babysitting services later.
I have visited the club several times and have always been impressed by the wonderful food prepared by the French-trained chef. Well-trained waiters provide exceptional service. Management and staff are open to new ideas from their clients. Director of Catering can help you utilize the space to its fullest. "We are a great team and accommodate our guests' wishes," she told me. The personalized service includes a place setting of the bride and groom's own china and offers to accompany the bride and groom to the best picture spots on the property.
The ballroom is available for events from Tuesday to Sunday at various time slots. The room fee is waived for weddings held during the day on Saturday and all day Sunday. Menu packages and hosted bar packages are available.
