The Ladera Oaks Swim and Tennis Club is well known in the community. In fact, several couples who have been married there have come back to join the club. For weddings and other events, the clubhouse has an ideal indoor/outdoor setup. It has light hardwood floors and an open, beam-studded ceiling which is perfect for decorations. One side of the hall has floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, opening to a romantic, vine-covered, trellised patio. Adjacent to the main room is a large bar area with sofas and fireplace. It also opens to the patio and the beautifully landscaped garden with a fountain in the center. The garden consists of lawn areas and flower beds with seasonal flowers and rose bushes. Evening events are particularly beautiful with the club’s soft outdoor lighting. They also have plenty of portable heaters so your guests will be comfortable if you choose to stay outdoors through the evening.
The two courtyards are available for smaller ceremonies; for larger ones there is the new brick patio on the spacious lawn area with its gorgeous oak trees. The total rental time is divided into two hours for setup, four to five hours for the reception, and one hour for cleanup. An hourly rate is charged for additional time. From May through September the facility is not available on Sundays.
A nice perk at Ladera Oaks is that you can bring any caterer of your choice, and the site also has a liquor license. The club owns tables and new padded oak folding chairs for the reception, and white folding chairs for the ceremony. The seating is set up by club personnel at no extra charge. Amplified music is allowed inside only because of the club’s neighborhood location.
