The first time I met John, he told me of his desire to be one of the best wedding photographers. His reputation now extends beyond California, and he has received the Gallery Award from Kodak, having scored the highest in the wedding print category in the state. The winning photo showed a bride and groom in the winter snow of Yosemite Valley. John’s creations are inspired by famous painters. This specialist in environmental wedding portraits likes to reflect the couple’s love for each other amid nature or grand architecture. John takes a lot of pride in his work. His emphasis is on portraits, which include dramatic back lighting. His candid reception shots, however, thoroughly capture the excitement of the event.
John’s clients like the fact that he spends considerable time consulting with them. The high quality of his pictures was mentioned by several references. John is one of the few photographers who presents proofs in a multimedia show, scheduled three weeks after the wedding. Production of the custom-designed leather albums can take up to eight months. When I reviewed his work again, I found his pictures to be very romantic. He knows how to portray couples at their best, and his use of the background setting makes the photos even more beautiful.
John is a certified Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman, and he lectures on wedding and Bar/Bat Mitzvah photography throughout the United States and Canada. He does not believe in shortcuts, and caters to couples who want the best money can buy.
Black & white or infrared film is available upon request.
