"When I hold my camera, something magical happens. I experience the world with a heightened sense of connection, passion and care." This is how Genevieve described her love of photography while we comfortably sipped coffee in her studio. We reviewed her award-winning photography which stands out in color and composition. With both a BFA in photography and an MA in art history, Genevieve has developed a youthful and imaginative quality in her work. She has embraced digital photography for the past ten years, is an enthusiastic member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and strives for perfection both before and after she releases the shutter button.

"The moments immediately after the ceremony are pure magic. Everyone is radiant - smiling, laughing, crying. I feel honored to be a part of that emotional world and to capture the intensity and beauty of it all," Genevieve told me. Her ability to capture a moment's fleeting beauty distinguishes her work from other's. She combines her well-rounded photographic education and savvy digital expertise to create exceptional images. But her real gift lies in her ability to connect with the people she's photographing.

This talent and her ability to anticipate human emotions have much to do with her success. As one bride put it, "I just want to thank you for all the wonderful work that you did to make our wedding memorable. I hate having my picture taken. Really! I felt so comfortable with you on the other side of the lens. I even enjoyed posing - dare I admit it? It was almost like having a member of the family with us because you were so excited and enthusiastic about the event."

To challenge and strengthen her wedding photography skills, Genevieve also works as an editorial photographer for magazines and as a portrait photographer. Like Annie Leibovitz, Genevieve captures her subjects in unexpectedly beautiful and creative ways.
