Denon & Doyle is one of the most highly respected and recommended companies in the Bay Area and is the official DJ company for the San Francisco 49ers, San Jose Sharks, and San Francisco Giants. Founded in 1984, the company now has 25 DJs. Brian, the founder and owner, formerly worked for several radio stations, playing country music and classic rock for many years. I was able to experience Brian’s professionalism firsthand when he served as MC and DJ at a BRO party. He scheduled the performers, picked the perfect music for breaks, and kept on top of the entertainment portion. A highlight of his career was an interview for the summer 2000 issue of Martha Stewart’s Weddings. "The main part of the article is based on my comments," he told me later. Like Brian, all the other DJs are consummate professionals. Several are actors and others either have a college degree or are working on one. A brochure with their pictures and resumes is included in their introduction folder. Unless the client requests otherwise, all Denon & Doyle's DJs dress elegantly in tuxedos. Prospective clients are invited to an open house each month to learn about the DJs' work and to get to know the DJ who will provide the music for their event.

Especially for weddings, Denon & Doyle’s DJs will help with the design of the whole event. They offer a special wedding planner with hints and timing ideas. The DJ will work with the caterer and the other professionals to announce the cake-cutting ceremony, etc., and contribute to the smooth flow of the event. All Denon & Doyle DJs pride themselves on playing the right music for mixed events and, most important, on how well they read the crowd. They are trained to make your event happen with subtle interactions and without being overbearing. They adapt the music and the sound system, from soft cocktail music during dinner to upbeat songs to lure people to the dance floor. They use high-quality equipment, play only CDs, and use wireless microphones.

We attended the wedding of our daughter-in-laws sister, Katie, to Adam. Each time we talk about their wedding, they always mention Denon & Doyle's great DJ who played so perfectly at their wedding.
