Hearing Jenne tell her story you can’t help but listen in awe. You immediately know that she is an incredible woman who is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty. Her business may be new, but she is definitely one of the more seasoned event planners I know.
Back in 1994 when Jenne attended a friend’s wedding, she was very impressed with the bride’s mother’s planning and execution of all the details. At that moment, Jenne envisioned herself as an event planner. Always determined to achieve her goals, Jenne knew she had found a passion to pursue.
Wise and realistic as she is, Jenne knew not to jump into a new venture without knowing anything. So she interned with an established event planner in Santa Fe, someone whom she still considers her mentor. From her Jenne learned all about wedding etiquette, meticulous time-lines, logistics, and business management. On the side, she worked for a retailer as a window display designer. Her designs were so creative that spectators would drive by just to admire her window displays.
During the next several years, Jenne worked for a reputable event design and production company, executing elaborate corporate events and weddings. She learned draping and tenting for events with six-digit budgets allocated to décor alone. She also worked as site coordinator at Copia in Napa Valley where she gained valuable experience from a venue’s perspective. At the same time, Jenne fell in love with the Wine Country and vowed to make Napa her home.
When clients hire Jenne, they feel as if their best girlfriend is planning their wedding. Jenne loves her clients dearly and always has fun with them. Being able to witness the union of two families on the wedding day gives her great satisfaction. Every wedding is magical to her in its own special way.
Jenne works with many out-of-town couples who have destination weddings in the Wine Country, although she is available to work anywhere in the Bay Area. Her sense of calm and her well-rounded background set her apart from others. She recently made her contribution to the events industry by founding the Napa chapter of the new International Special Events Society.
