A beautiful wedding requires a beautiful bride. And with greater emphasis on
photographic and video records of weddings, there is a demand for professional
makeup and hair stylists. Originally working for Chanel as their leading make
up artist, Patricia saw a need for wedding stylists who work on location and
offer both hair design and makeup, so she started A Perfect Look six years ago.
Today she creates a natural look for brides, using Chanel, Mac, and Bobby Brown
products. For those with sensitive skin she will use the hypo-allergenic Almay.
If a bride would like something special, like a certain lipstick, she gladly
incorporates it into the look. She likes to enhance the bride's natural beauty
so she looks her best on her most important day.
Patricia suggests booking her services early and does a pretrial well in
advance. Together with her clients she will find the hair styles and makeup that
suits them best so that they feel comfortable. She recommends buying the veil
after the first appointment because quite often a veil
purchased before doesnt quite fit the desired hair style. She also suggests the
practicality of a detachable veil. She jokes that "men do not know how to dance
with women in veils," and that the hugging and dancing at the reception can
exhaust the hair style. Included in the bridal package are the pretrial make-over and hair design as well as the
wedding day hair and makeup on location.
Bridesmaids' packages include hair and makeup on the wedding day. When a wedding
party is exceptionally large, Patricia brings her mother, Elizabeth, a licensed
beautician, to help with hair styling.
Patricia, who also has clients in the film and advertising industry, is
recommended by locations like Villa Montalvo, photographers, and past clients.
She encourages people to come in and look at her portfolio so they can see her
work. Clients told me that she did a great job and that they received many
compliments on their wedding day.
